AfterGlo® Photo-luminescent (PL)

NSN 8010-01-558-3002 AfterGlo® Photoluminescent (PL) safety paint is now available from ACI.

Currently used on E-2 and C-2 aircraft to make their propellers more visible in low-light situations such as on aircraft carrier flight decks at night, helping avoid fatalities or accidents due to contact with a spinning propeller. The same paint is being used by domestic propeller manufacturers and several military services outside the U.S. Other aviation-related PL applications include illuminated checklists, cockpit and access markings, wheel chocks and tie-down marking devices.

ACI has been involved in Military sales for quite some time. While Military requirements change dramatically based on current needs, so does the availability of Mil-Spec products.

Furthermore, Mil-Spec products are susceptible to shelf life, and therefore may not be stocked items.
